Two Educational Programs Scheduled for February 23, 2012

Purdue-ExtensionAnnetta Jones, Purdue Extension Educator, Health and Human Sciences, will present “Protect Your Financial Papers from Disaster” at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Porter County Expo Center, 215 E. Division Road, Valparaiso, IN. This program will help you to prepare your files and re-establish your life if the event that a disaster happens.

Following this program, you are invited to attend “A Good Night’s Sleep” at 2:00 pm presented by Alison Goshorn, Purdue Extension Educator, Health and Human Sciences. 60% of adults report having sleep problems a few nights a week or more. And it’s not just adults – 69% of children experience sleep problems as well. This session focuses on how to get a Good Night’s Sleep. Topics include: 1) Why we sleep; 2) Common causes of sleep problems; (3) Consequences of lost sleep and 4) 12 tips to improve sleep.
