Both Officers Begin their New Duties Immediately
Two new officers were sworn to duty this morning at City Hall. Cassidy Reeder 29 yrs old and Casey Pedersen 22 yrs old, were sworn to duty as the newest members of the Valparaiso Police Officers.
Cassidy earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and is a graduate of Homestead High School in northeastern Indiana. She is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Criminal Behavior.
Casey is a native of Northview Michigan. She recently graduated from Valparaiso University where she played on the soccer team. She had completed two internships at the Valparaiso Police Department prior to being hired.
