Two New Valparaiso Police Officers Sworn to Duty in 2018

Two-New-Valparaiso-Police-Officers-Sworn-to-Duty-in-2018Two new officers were sworn to duty by Mayor Jon Costas in a ceremony at City Hall on January 19th. Peter Castillo 23 yrs old and Kenin Zolper 29 yrs old were sworn to duty and are two of the newest officers hired by the Valparaiso Police Department.

Kenin is a graduate of Valparaiso High School and has spent the last 8 years in the United States Army as a military police officer.

Peter is a graduate of Indiana University and holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. He had previously been employed as a jail officer for the Porter County Sheriff’s Department.

Both officers will begin their training/duties immediately. Congratulations to Officers Castillo and Zolper.
