In all that we do, the safety of our customers and staff is our highest priority. We are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation as it unfolds, and we are taking additional steps with our cleaning procedures.
Following the announcement of Governor Holcomb and after consulting with the Mayor and Park Board President, the subsequent facilities and programs will be affected:
- Banta Senior Center will be closed Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27. Additional dates will be subject to ongoing evaluation.
- Ice Rink at Central Park Plaza will be closed effective immediately for the remainder of the season.
- Youth Winter Skills Clinics at Valparaiso High School on Sunday, March 15 will be postponed. A makeup date is TBD.
At this time, all other playgrounds, facilities and programs will remain as scheduled. Programs could be affected as announcements become available from Valparaiso Community Schools.
