Valparaiso Girl Scouts Serve as Senate Pages

Charbonneau-Valpo-Girl-ScoutsState Sen. Ed Charbonneau (R-Valparaiso) welcomed local Girl Scout members who served as Senate pages at the Statehouse in celebration of the organization’s 100th anniversary:

  • Stephanie Baxter-Ivey, daughter of Valparaiso residents Allen and Penny Ivey. She is a junior at Valparaiso High School.
  • Maddisen Brennecke, daughter of Valparaiso residents Greg and Megan Brennecke. She is a junior at Valparaiso High School.
  • Rachel Knoblock, daughter of Valparaiso residents Gregory and Darlene Knoblock. She is a seventh-grade student at Benjamin Franklin Middle School.
  • Megan Simons, daughter of Valparaiso resident Kristina Simons. She is a seventh-grade student at Benjamin Franklin Middle School.
  • Danielle Vugrin, daughter of Valparaiso residents Jerome and Teresa Weiler. She is a junior at Valparaiso High School.
  • Hannah White, daughter of Valparaiso residents Phil and Janet White. She is a junior at Valparaiso High School.

Each legislative session, students in grades six through 12 are invited to serve as legislative pages.

Charbonneau said the opportunity helps educate young Hoosiers about state government.
