Valparaiso High School Football Ranked Fifth in the State

The Valparaiso High School football team is ranked fifth in the state of Indiana with the state’s sixth best defense, according to the Massey Ratings.

The region is well represented in the top 25 in the state, with four DAC teams included and five teams on the Vikings’ schedule. Chesterton, Portage, Crown Point, Penn, Merrillville, and Valparaiso all cracked the state's top 25, based on the Massey Ratings computer-based formula.
