The Valparaiso High School boys golf team defeated the Highland Trojans 155-220 on a sunny, windy day at Valparaiso Country Club.
Valpo’s Bobby Jacobs and Kyle Meihofer led the way for the Vikings, each shooting a one-over-par 38 while teammate Logan Bertalan scored a 39. Pat Gariup also shot a 40 for the Vikings, who finished four golfers ahead of Highland’s top scorer in Seth Peters (45).
The 3-0 Vikings will travel next to Portage to take on the Indians and Michigan City High School on Friday, April 29.
