Valparaiso had their first outdoor home meet on Thursday, April 21. It was originally scheduled to be held on Tuesday, but due to the unseasonably cold and rainy weather, the meet was postponed. The weather already played a roll in the cancellation of the Ben Davis Invite in Indy on April 16, so Valpo was ready for a win. Thursday's meet was cold for an outdoor meet, but it didn't hurt Valpo any, they won the meet overall against Portage and Lake Central in their triangular meet. Valpo's score against Lake Central was Valpo's 78.33 points to Lake Central's 53.67. Scoring against Portage, Valpo's score was 71 to Portage's 61. Portage against Lake Central was close 69 to 63 Portage taking 2nd in the meet.

There is a meet scheduled this Saturday to be held at West Lafayette High School for the West Lafayette Relays. Meet is scheduled to start at 9am. if you are able to make the drive down, GREAT if not the next meet for Valpo will be at Michigan City High School April 26 at 4:30.
