The VHS Volleyball Varsity and JV squads faced off against Lake Central High School on Thursday evening at Lake Central. The Varsity team emerged victorious, sweeping the Indians right after they swept Chesterton on Tuesday, while the JV fell in straight sets. .
The Varsity team squad was led by Tarrah Laksy’s 18 assists in their 25-23, 26-24, 25-17 victories. Katie Workman contributed 12 digs, while Casey Earl and Lasky both had three service aces.
In the JV contest, the Vikings fell 25-20, 25-19. Alyssa Jones had 11 assists and 4 digs, while Kelsie Schultz contributed 6 kills and 8 digs. This match was the JV’s first loss in DAC competition.
