Facing off against 23 of Indiana's best teams and 40 of the state's top individuals, the eighth ranked Vikings competed exceptionally well on the hilly, challenging Indiana State University course. In 16th place as a team after the first kilometer, the Vikes went to work during the middle of the race, moving quickly through the 200-man field, and with just over a halfmile left, were closing in on the top five teams and a spot on the podium. Showing a lot of heart, the Vikings finished hard and passed a combined thirty-three runners in the final stretch to claim fourth place overall! It was the team's best finish since placing third in 2012. Way to go!
