Weekly Walks With A Doc kick off June 15 in Highland, Michigan City

Put on your walking shoes for a healthy dose of information and exercise, as Franciscan Health’s Walk With A Doc program comes to Michigan City and Highland. The walks will take place Wednesdays beginning June 15 and begin with a brief health talk by a physician or clinical staff member.

In Highland, one-hour walks will take place at Wicker Memorial Park, 8554 Indianapolis Blvd., 11AM to noon from June 15 to July 20. Register on site only at 10:45AM each Wednesday. In Michigan City, the Wednesday evening 5K walks will take place from June 15 to Aug. 10, starting at the YMCA, 1202 Spring Street at Door K. Walks begin at 5:30PM, register on site only starting at 5PM. The first speaker will be Franciscan medical oncologist and hematologist Saud Rana, MD. He will discuss how diet and lifestyle can impact your risk for cancer.
