What is Good, Valpo?

As always, we are looking for what is good going on in Valparaiso! This time, we sent out a post on a Thursday night, asking folks to send us something, maybe a sentence or two of good news from anyone who commented on that post. It could be personal, professional, family, community, charity, spiritual, funny, or anything else you want to share.

If you want to plug something or someone good - here is your free and easy opportunity. If you want to get in on "what's good", send us an email at contribute@valpolife.com or leave a comment on this post!

As far as I am concerned, Valpo is the place to live. We have everything available to us. Close to the Dunes, close to Chicago. Our newest restaurant, Industrial Revolution, should be opening soon. Looking forward to that!

My twins are in the CHS spring band/orchestra concert on Tuesday and are receiving academic awards on Thursday - both on principal's honor roll all three grading periods! (Yes, some Valpo kids are in Duneland Schools - so confusing)

I think that the heart of Valparaiso is in its community of people that do the living, breathing, working and shopping within our great town. I love to shop our local businesses so that Valparaiso will thrive. One of the most important things for our businesses and lively-hood is to shop at our family / locally owned and operated businesses! ... I would like to thank everyone in Valparaiso who has dedicated themselves to make a positive impact on a town which used to be very oppressive against the "little man" or at least someone who wasn't somebody with political affiliations or deep pockets. The Valparaiso I see today has come full circle. I had often wondered why. After 10 years away and coming back I compliment all of you who have made a difference. Thank You all.
