Hear the good news about Valpo’s own family fun park, Zao Island? It was recently chosen as one of America’s most unusual (see: awesome!) miniature golf parks by USA Today!
According to USA Today, what stood out the most about Zao was its uniqueness; comparing the park to an island retreat in the middle of The Region. Add to that two 18-hole courses with 25 fountains, 10 waterfalls, and bridges galore all anchored by a three-story mountain fit with a an awesome dragon and Zao becomes the ideal staycation spot to stimulate your senses and fun.
Zao Island has recently spent a lot of time and effort remodeling the course to make it the premiere destination for putt-putt enthusiasts around Northwest Indiana, so if you haven’t made the trek out to one of America’s most unusual mini-golf courses yet, this perfect weather we have been having lately would make it the ideal time to go and check it out.
But if even if golfing’s not your bag there is plenty of fun for everyone at Zao Island, including: laser tag, batting cages, go karting, a sweet arcade, and a restaurant and bar for the bigger kids.
