The public is asked to donate at Versiti blood drives in May and June at Franciscan Health hospitals in Dyer, Michigan City and Munster.
The blood drive at Franciscan Health Dyer will be from 10:30AM to 3:30PM on Thursday, May 19 in the Reginald Board Room at the hospital, 24 Joliet St.
The blood drive at Franciscan Health Michigan City will be 9AM to 1PM, Thursday, May 26 in Mother Maria Theresia Conference Room on the first floor of the hospital, 3500 Franciscan Way.
On Thursday, June 9, a blood drive will take place from 11AM to 3PM at Franciscan Health Munster, 701 Superior Ave.
Donors must bring photo identification and masks are required. Donors should also eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before donating. Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled by going online at versiti.org/IL or by calling 1-800-7TO-Give (1-800-786-4483) and choosing your preferred time. Walk-ins are also welcome as the schedule and social distancing allow.
Versiti Blood Center is the primary blood provider to Franciscan Health. Donations go to more than 70 hospitals in Indiana and Illinois.
