Communities Talk: Townhall to Address Underage Drinking

Event Information

This event has expired.

The Communities Talk Townhalls are a nationwide program through SAMSHA that encourages communities to talk about how they can increase awareness or address issues related to underage or risky drinking. Valparaiso University's Office of Alcohol and Drug Education will be hosting one of these Townhalls on October 23rd from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Ballrooms of the Harre Union. This event is open to both students and the community and will include a call to action regarding the need for communities that embrace social events that provide safe and sober options for those who do not wish to drink. Two members of the local recovery community will share their stories of addiction and recovery and local resources have been invited to share their services with attendees.  There is no cost to attend.
