It's an "End Of Summer Festival" with live music and featuring two of Valparaiso's finest, blues rock bosses Head Honchos, and Chicagoland Favorite, Motown/Pop/R&B vocalist, Warren Tipton, teaming up for what promises to be a memorable afternoon of music, on Friday, October 1. The well-experienced, road-tested and respected Head Honchos (performing 3pm to 6pm) are fronted by the father/son guitar team of Rocco Calipari Sr. and Rocco Calipari Jr.. both bad-ass axe-slingers on a mission to keep the blues alive, who make magical Blues music with their blazing, dual guitar leads. Mike Boyle on bass and Will Wyatt on drums comprise the Valparaiso, Indiana-based quartet first-rate rhythm section.
FUN FACT: Rocco Sr. is also well-known throughout the blues world his stint as longtime guitarist of Chicago blues stalwarts, Howard And The White Boys.
Warren Tipton (pictured), singer for the Together Band and Music 4 Life, provides the entertainment at End of Summer Festival" with their intoxicating, dance-friendly mix of Motown, Pop, Oldies, R&B and more, performing from 7pm till the Festival closes at 10pm.
Music 4 Life is Tipton's own musical entity, where she shares lead vocals with an amazing you female vocalist and a veteran, super-tight band. Tipton's family extends talent: His son, Freddie Gibbs, was nominated for 'Best Rap Album' this year.
Tipton, an area resident, will be receiving a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, being inducted as a member of Soul/R&B greats The Chi-Lites, on September 30 in Hollywood, Calif.
