The Recycling & Waste Reduction District and the Art Barn come together for this FREE fun-for-the-family workshop to turn your trash into treasures! Join us for the fun on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 at the Art Barn School of Art (695 N 400 E, Valparaiso, IN 46383) from 1-4pm.
An Art Barn instructor and a Master Recycler will be helping participants take materials including discarded holiday cards, ribbon, scrap paper, and small boxes that would otherwise end up in the landfill, and repurpose them into beautiful holiday ornaments, centerpieces, and other decorations.
The Recycling & Waste Reduction District will be talking about other ways you can be sustainable and have less waste during the holiday season. Cookies and cocoa will also be available to enjoy. This free program is supported by the Dunbar Family Foundation.
Go to artbarnschool.org to sign up. Be sure to register since spots are limited. This event is for ages 6+ with no art skills required. Adults are expected to register/stay with children under the age of 16.
