WHO/WHAT: Considered to be the foremost Abraham Lincoln scholar in the country, Allen C. Guelzo, Ph.D., will be the keynote speaker at an event titled “Abraham Lincoln’s Seven Leadership Lessons” at Valparaiso University. Guelzo is currently the director of Civil War studies and the Henry R. Luce Professor of the Civil War Era at Gettysburg College, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in addition to a New York Times best-selling author and commentator on public issues.
Guelzo will discuss Abraham Lincoln’s leadership, answering the questions: How did this child of the raw American frontier become the Great Emancipator and the savior of the Union? And what are the seven keys to his leadership that show the way to his greatness?
