Rittenhouse Senior Living Wins Top Chef Honors

Rittenhouse Senior Living won Top Chef honors for the second year in a row at Prompt Ambulance Service's fourth annual Taste of Care event held last week. Guests at the event, held at Opportunity Enterprises, sampled a variety of treats from senior living facilities in Porter County and voted for their favorite. Chef Derrick Stevens and his staff served Lemon Chicken Scallopini, Fresh, Pan Seared Salmon with homemade Pesto served with garlic purple passion potatoes and for dessert, bread pudding with brandy soaked cherry sauce.

Chef Derrick was also honored the People's Choice Award for best chili at the Chesterton-Duneland Chamber of Commerce third annual "Chili Challenge" held last year.

Rittenhouse Senior Living offers Independent Living Villas, Assisted Living and Memory Care Suites. Rittenhouse has three locations in Northwest Indiana: Valparaiso, Michigan City, and Portage.
