When Homer Drew was 8 years old, he would see the older kids outside playing basketball and scramble out there to play with them. He got knocked around a bit, but he loved it, and it was the beginning of a life-long love of the game. Son Bryce followed in his footsteps, with the help of his older brother pulling him along. But their sister Dana was the most competitive of them all. It founded on the idea that all children need and deserve comfort, treatment, and hope in the face of illness and Valparaiso University believes that Dance Marathon is not just a philanthropic campaign, but a celebration of life.
