Benjamin Franklin Middle School completed their Science Olympiad season with a sixth place finish at the State Tournament, held Saturday April 2nd at Purdue Calumet in Hammond. As one of the most exciting finishes of the night, seventh grader Darian Low and eighth grader Camden Davison, earned a first place medal in their event Battery Buggy. Darian and ninth grader Evan Schlottman earned a third place medal in their event Compute This. Ninth graders Troy Borlick and Connor Devine, eighth graders Claire Simon, Emmy Chojecki, Allie Thome, Emily Walsh, and Sam Mueller, and seventh graders Shelby Hoyert and Danny Dalton all earned medals in their events as well by placing in the top 5. We would also like to congratulate Thomas Jefferson on their State Championship and wish them good luck at Nationals.
