- Request Approval for VFW Annual Buddy Poppy Days to be held Thursday, May 10, through Saturday, May 12, 2012, throughout the city
- Request Approval for Valentine 5K to be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012, beginning at 10 am. There will be about 300 runners and volunteers will be there to assist
