Prospective high school cosmetology students may visit Don Roberts Beauty School, 1354 Lincolnway, Valparaiso, on Saturday, Feb. 23.
The meeting will start at 1:30 p.m.
A limited number of high school sophomores are selected for Porter County Career & Technical Education’s two-year cosmetology program . Students apply through their home school counselors at these high schools: Boone Grove, Chesterton, Hebron, Hobart. Kouts, Morgan Twp., Portage, Valparaiso, Washington Twp. and Wheeler.
If accepted, the sophomores start the program in July and receive assistance with their tuition through PCCTE. The graduates sit for the state cosmetology license after the two-year program.
