Indiana INTERNnet Seeks Award Nominations for Interns and Mentors

Indiana INTERNnet, a free online internship matching program from the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, announces a statewide call for nominations for the fourth annual IMPACT Awards, which honor achievements in internships and mentoring. The IMPACT Awards recognize outstanding high school and college interns, a career services professional and the employer of the year.

Individuals are invited to submit more than one nomination in any or all of the award categories. Award considerations are as follows:

Outstanding Intern (both high school and college): contribution to employer's business; demonstrated leadership skills during internship; and professionalism.

Outstanding Career Services Professional: assistance to students with internship opportunities; communication with students/employers; and coaching students on internship professionalism and career development.

Outstanding Employer: innovative approach to an internship program; formation of meaningful project work; and providing student with professional mentor and networking opportunities.

Winners of the 2009 Indiana INTERNnet IMPACT Awards will be announced at the IMPACT Awards Luncheon in downtown Indianapolis on February 10, 2010.
