PNC Chancellor Dworkin Participates in Regional Forum

James-DworkinPurdue University North Central Chancellor Dr. James B. Dworkin recently joined local thought leaders taking part in the Indiana Chamber of Commerce regional forum Indiana Vision 2025.

Indiana Vision 2025 is a comprehensive effort, coordinated by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, to provide leadership, direction and a long-range economic development strategy for Indiana.

"This forum presented a tremendous opportunity for local business, educational, governmental and community leaders to come together to provide our local and regional insights to the plan and discuss how we can create and sustain a healthy environment for economic growth in Indiana," said Dworkin." I look forward to seeing the Indiana Vision 2025 ideas and initiatives implemented locally and statewide."

Indiana Vision 2025 was developed during a 14 month period by a 24-person task force of policy leaders throughout the state. More than 30 goals in four areas of focus are featured - outstanding talent (which includes K-12, higher education and the workforce); attractive business climate; superior infrastructure and dynamic and creative culture.

"We deeply appreciate the involvement of Dr. Dworkin and all of our participants as we work together to achieve some lofty goals," said Indiana Chamber President Kevin Brinegar. "Reaching these objectives will help take Indiana from a very good place to live and work to a great place for generations to come."
