REGISTRATION_NOW_OPEN_FOR_YOUTH_SWIMMING-1The Duneland Family YMCA is pleased to announce the opening of the summer swim season. A wide variety of youth swimming lessons are available Monday through Saturday, offering various lesson levels depending on your child's age and skillset. Morning or afternoon lessons are available. The first session of five-week youth classes run June 13 - July 9. Registration is open May 16th - June 6th. The cost for youth swimming lessons is $40 per child for Y members and $80 per child for non-members. You can sign up for the first session of swimming lessons at the Y Front Desk.

The second session of youth swimming classes start July 18 and run through August 21. Registration for this segment will be available June 13 through July 11. Adult group swim lessons, private and semi-private lessons, and backyard (in your own pool) swim lessons are also available upon request.

"To some, the Y is virtually synonymous with swimming, and for good reason" says Andrew Zimmer, Aquatics & Sports Director. "Since the first YMCA swimming bath opened in 1885, we've been a pioneer in swimming education. Today, the YMCA has literally taught millions of people to swim, and is the largest collective operator of swimming pools in the world. Learn with the experts and sign up for swim lessons at the Duneland Family YMCA."

Other opportunities for youth at the Y this summer include Track & Field, Floor Hockey, T-Ball, British Soccer Camp and Tumbling. At the Y, you can be assured that whatever activity you, your family or your children engage in, you'll have a safe, positive environment to learn, grow and thrive. For more information about the open swim, lessons or any of our other summer aquatics or youth sports programs, contact Andrew Zimmer at 926-4204 or azimmer@dunelandymca.org.
