Lubeznik Center for the Arts' (LCA) spring class & workshop offerings for children, teens and adults are currently open for registration. Weekly classes are available for those looking to develop new skills and workshops for those looking for a little "me time" and focus their creativity for a day or two. Offerings run from March 12 through April 14. Classes fill quickly so all are encouraged to register early.
Adult classes (ages 15+) in painting, drawing and photo editing are available this session. Discover a broad range of concepts, strategies and processes in Abstract Painting. For those who have completed that class, and want to take it to the next level, LCA offers Abstract Painting II. Drawing Bootcamp facilitates students' skills and strategies. Watercolor Plus provides a relaxing environment for students to enhance their skills in both classic and contemporary techniques. LCA's new class, Adobe Lightroom Basics, teaches photography enthusiasts the main functions of Adobe Lightroom.
Single-session workshops (ages 13+) are available for those looking for some "me time". Introduce yourself to Fused Glass and create a glass tile and jewelry pieces. A new offering, Fantasy Felted Flowers, will provide students a fun project using a wet felting process. If your teenager has a passion for drawing figures, register them for the new Life Drawing For Teens.
LCA provides a variety of new classes for young artists (ages 8+). Choices include Drawing For Young Artists, The Creative World of Zine or "mini magazines" and Tinker Lab with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) projects.
LCA also provides educational and creative Summer Camps for Young Artists. Camps include STEAM Camp for innovators, experimenters and creators; POP!
