Valparaiso Boys XC Wins 3-Way Meet Against Lake Central and Portage

On September 20, 2011 Lake Central hosted a 3-way meet against Valparaiso and Portage. This was an unfamiliar course for Valpo and Portage teams. The course was a wooded course with a lot of turns and paths. This became an issue for Valpo and Portage runners who had never run the course, resulting in some disqualified runners for running in the wrong direction. Valpo runners Xavier Reed, Patrick Dalton and Kevin Hickey we all disqualified.

Despite course problems, timing and placement issues, Valpo won the 3-way meet against Lake Central and Portage.

Peyton Reed placed 1st with a time of 16:16 followed by Ari Coulopoulos in 2nd with a time of 16:35

Final scores were:
Valpo 24 - Lake Central 33
Valpo 18 - Portage 44
Lake Central 18 - Portage 38

In the top 20 for Valpo: (Due to timing and placement issues some may be out of order)
1 Peyton Reed 16:16
