The Valpo American Legion Post 94 Juniors Black Baseball team beat the Region Legion Expos Juniors 18-12 Sunday afternoon at Gary West Side High School to win the American Legion Juniors Regional Tournament. The win gives the Post 94 Juniors Black team a season record of 12 wins, 3 losses and 1 tie. Valpo was led by Kyle Janda (Boone Grove HS), Tommy Landry (Washington Township HS) and Griffin Zborowski (Valparaiso High School) as all had multiple hits. Caden Heminger was the winning pitcher and Dylan Cortes recorded the final out.
Valpo Post 94 Juniors Black now advances to the Indiana State American Legion Juniors State Tournament in Kokomo starting this Thursday, July 18th. The team is coached by Rob Zborowski and Gerry Janda.
