The Vikings jumped two spots into the sixth in the Region Sports Network's Weekly Top Ten ranking of regional teams after their victory against Michigan City last week. An excerpt is below, and you can see the full rankings by clicking here:

Can a team lose while still picking up a victory? If it’s possible, that might be the case for the Valpo Vikings following Week Four. They picked up the win over Michigan City, but they saw a 28-0 first half lead evaporate to 31-21 at halftime and only scored one second half TD against a team they should have buried. On top of that, star running back Bryon Duncan was lost for the season with a torn ACL & MCL in his right knee and mammoth offensive tackle Paul Runyon broke his leg. The Vikings still have a good shot to earn a sole or partial part of the DAC crown, but their confidence has to be a little shaken moving forward.
